AARP to Help Seniors File Taxes 2/7-4/11

Contact Linda Hartner at the WO Public Library 973-736-0198 x 215 to schedule your appointment with an AARP volunteer.  Be sure to bring: picture ID, social security card for taxpayer(s), children and other dependents, copies of 2016 federal and state returns, all documents relating to 2017 income (W-2s, 1099s, etc)and information regarding deductible expenses (medical costs. property taxes, mortgage interest, charitable contributions). Anyone who purchased health insurance via the Affordable Care Act should bring the form 1095A. Anyone bringing the NJ Property Tax Reimbursement PTR Senior Freeze  must stop at the West Orange Tax Office to have them fill out their portion and request a copy to bring with you. Please note that AARP tax preparers are not able to prepare returns that include such items as rental income, sale of business property, casualty and theft losses.
