Codey Arena was designed to provide skating and non-skating activities to the general public for children and adults of all ages year round.
The original rink was completed in 1958 with a seating capacity of approximately 2,500 spectators. A second rink was added in 1983 with a seating capacity of approximately 500 spectators. From 2004 to 2005 many new renovations took place throughout the skating facility: a new state of the art lobby of 14,000 square feet was added. This area includes a skylight, automatic doors, three party/meeting rooms, concession stand, pro shop and arcade. Rink one has new seats, boards, glass and compressor. Rink two has a new dehumidification system
