EDUCATION
MBA International Marketing, Fairleigh Dickinson University. Awarded a Graduate Business Fellowship, conducted research and taught an undergraduate course in Organizational Behavior. International Study: Wroxton College, Oxfordshire, England. MA in Speech Language Pathology, Kean University. BA Douglass College, Rutgers University.
Susan is a graduate of West Orange High School where she received a West Orange scholarship and was recognized by Who’s Who in American High School Students for leadership.
Susan currently works as a speech therapist in the West Orange Schools, has a good understanding of the needs of West Orange families and brings decades of experience in business and education to the West Orange Township Council.
biography
Susan’s professional business background includes sales, marketing and financial expertise. She formerly owned and operated a business consulting firm in New York City servicing Wall Street banks and investment firms. She managed large-scale projects and worked as a Product Manager in the design, development and marketing of new telecommunications products in collaboration with Japanese manufacturers. At Paine Webber she ran the telecommunications division’s trading floors and was responsible for balancing budgets, negotiating contracts and managing large scale projects for the trading floors. She joined the Society of Telecommunications Consultants and devised and taught a course in Basic Telephony for the telecommunications staff of the New York Stock Exchange.
Susan brings to the council her experience as a Speech Language Pathologist and member of our school community where she has gained a deep understanding of the needs of students and families. She has earned multiple PASSE awards for advocating for special needs students.
Community involvement includes work with the African Heritage Organization, Nikhil Badlani Foundation, Friends of the West Orange Library, Operation Hope and advocacy for West Orange senior citizens.
