The West Orange Public Library is moving!
 We will be closed temporarily as we move from
 46 Mt. Pleasant to 10 Rooney Circle.
The West Orange Public Library is will be housed temporarily at 80 Main Street.

The West Orange Public Library closed on February 1, 2023 to begin the preparation of the monumental task of moving to its new location at 10 Rooney Circle. The opening of the new Library will occur later this Spring. 

Library Director, David Cubie, Staff and the Library Board of Trustees are to be commended for the measures taken with outlying communities to minizine the disruption of services to our community during this interim period. 

Mayor Susan McCartney and Township Officials, working in collaboration with the WOPL Board of Trustees, finalizing the arrangements to provide a continuation of key library services at 80 Main Street on the second floor in Suite 230. On Tuesday, February 21, the Town Council approved a lease agreement with the 80 Main business owner and long-time Downtown West Orange Alliance Board Member David Drill. 

Library services provided at 80 Main will include Library Staff, Library resources, book drop-off and pick-up and public access to 10 computer stations along with ample off-street parking. 

This temporary operation will begin on Monday, February 27 from 10:00am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday.

The West Orange Public Library closed as of February 1, 2023 to begin the preparation of the monumental task of moving to its new location at 10 Rooney Circle located near the Cambria Hotel. The opening of the new library will occur in the Spring.  The Library Director, Staff and the Library Board of Trustees have worked to coordinate arrangements for West Orange residents to be welcomed at any one of these surrounding municipal Libraries:

Mayor Susan McCartney, working in collaboration with the WO Public Library Board of Trustees, is finalizing arrangements to provide a continuation of key library services at 80 Main Street in West Orange. Business owner and longtime Downtown West Orange Alliance Board Member David Drill was instrumental in securing the location. Library services at 80 Main will include book drop-off and pick-up and public access to computers along with ample off-street parking.  Operations will begin at 80 Main Street as soon as the final lease agreement is worked out. 

 Mayor McCartney commends the Library Director, Staff and the Library Board of Trustees for the measures taken both within and with our outlying communities to minizine the disruption of services to our community during this interim period.
