EPA INVESTIGATES TELECOM CABLES FOR LEAD

EPA-US

Dear Residents,

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is currently investigating telecommunication
cables containing lead lining across the United States. Verizon and AT&T have been notified by
the EPA to assist with inspections and samplings.

The EPA has identified the right-of-way curbing area between Gregory Ave. and your property as
an area to investigate. The effort will comprise of obtaining small periodic soil samples every 30
feet or so along the roadway. They plan to begin on or around August 1, 2023, taking
approximately 2-3 days to complete.

The Township wants to ensure all homeowners are aware if EPA agents are around their property.

For any questions, please contact Shereen Kandil, Team Leader, Community Affairs
