Minish Park was dedicated in honor of Joseph Minish, The son of a coal miner, Minish got his start in organized labor and became a member of the U.S. Congress from 1962-1984. Minish was an advocate for federal aid for education, extension of the Social Security Act, long term loans and technical assistance to emerging nations and the establishment of the Department of Urban Affairs.
Operated by the West Orange Recreation Department and located on Lancaster Terrace off Buckingham Road.
